You can do anything you want…but not everything

My folks always told me “you can do/be anything you want” when you grow up. I believed them. Unfortunately, like all kids there were a lot of things I wanted to be: the London correspondent for the New York TImes, the President, a famous lawyer, a rich businesswoman- well, you get the idea.

What my folks didn’t tell me was that I couldn’t be everything. WANTING IT ALL is a concept most of us remember from our youth. Another one, sad but true, is that as we age it becomes I GOT WHAT I SETTLED FOR. The truth is many people take the path of least resistance in life- they have no plan. Guess what! If you have no goals, you don’t accomplish much. The good news is that by having a plan on paper and some accountability, you CAN do anything you want.

So, who is ready to get started on kicking 2011 right in the teeth? To make this your BEST YEAR YET?
